PIPER
Piper is a dream dog! She is AMAZING! Very smart,
just the EXACT kind of dog we wanted.

She fits in perfectly, no behaviour problems whatsoever!
She is amazing. We love her beyond words. No health problems either. |
ALAMBRE:
Here is a picture of HAPPY ALAMBRE in his new home - we are awaiting a report form his new family -
it is wonderful to see him like this! |

RUFUS - ("Blackie" at LCHS)
I just wanted to let you know that Rufus is settling in really well and we all adore him! We went shopping today and picked out a sweater for him that he just loves in this colder weather!! He is an absolute doll and fits into our family so well!
I have found out that he has been micro chipped so I was wondering whether I need to phone the company to change the details or is that something that you guys do?
Thanks again for everything, TJ Larson |

CHASE
Chase is so relaxed and immediately made himself at home. Chase has a really good appetite.
We bought Chase lots of toys yesterday and his favourite is a flying squirrel frisbee. I attached a picture of him playing fetch in the basement. Chase is quickly getting better at going up and down stairs. It is so cute to watch. We are playing lots and Chase needs a good nap every few hours.
Last night, Chase was tuckered out and fell asleep quickly. He slept through the whole night and was slow to wake up when Matt took him outside this morning. We can't believe how cute and snugly he is. He likes to sleep on his back with his feet in the air. I attached a picture of him napping on the couch.
We just love Chase and he seems happy and relaxed. Matt didn't want to go to work today. We have already arranged a play date for next week when he has his shots and his "grandparents" are so excited to meet him.
Thank you so much for all your kindness and support.
Sincerely, Heidi

MAHLE
We took Mahle home on Sunday. She was terrified of us at first but is already getting much better. We love her already, she is the sweetest little girl, so well behaved and has so much love to give! You can tell all she wants to be loved and part of a family.
We take her to a park across the street or on a walk twice a day, she is really happy to run around and burn off her energy, then she is so tired she sleeps in her bed all day. We ended up not even needing to lock her up at all, she is such a good girl in the house.
I think everything will work out great as soon as Mahle gets used to us and trusts us more. She is REALLY afraid of people and gets so nervous she trembles and shakes! I hope that if she slowly learns that no one will ever hurt her again, she will come out of her shell a bit. We are looking into signing her up for an agility class, she is really smart ... |

MOLLY
Thanks for helping us with everything. Just an update on Molly (Toyis) as you can see in the picture that I've included she has made herself feel at home quickly!
Thanks again,
Pam |
BAILEY
Hello everyone,
Just want to give you updates on Bailey. She's a little spit fire and as a lot of energy. She's getting pretty big as you can see from the pictures. She loves pulling me on my rollerblades, she just runs and runs. She's a very good girl, and loves to cuddle. She still thinks she's small and makes her self comfortable. We have a king size bed and yes, Bailey has 3/4 of it. She's much bigger than the boys now. She in good health and loves the backward, we bought her a pool for kids, she just loves it.
She just loves water, whenever we are in the shower, she wants to come in, so the pool is great for her.
Take care, Stephanie, Cindy, Bailey, Caillou and Pogo.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Flash (now Nacho) is doing great.
He is fitting in wonderfully.
Thanks,
Dawne

HOLLY
We've decided to name her Holly. She is doing wonderfully and is loving Bentley. They are almost inseperable. It's really cute to watch Bentley teach her all sorts of things, like how to sit properly and how to play tug (his favorite game). It's really revived Bentley, he's acting like a puppy again! I have her booked in for her next set of shots on April 20. Our vet will give her the full once over and make sure that she's as healthy as she seems.
Thank you so much for finding us Holly. She has been an amazing addition to our family.

FINNEGAN
Thanks again for all your help with adopting Finnegan, we have had a wonderful first day together, and I can already tell that this was a match made in heaven! He is doing great, I have attached a few photos of him "relaxing" in his new digs! You are a truly great organization for saving these dogs lives. Finnegan sends kisses.

I have attached a photo of her from last summer.
Thanks,
Ania & Aaron |

ELMER
I am sending a pic of Elmer.
They aren't the greatest, seems I never have the camera when he is doing
his jumping and twirling.
He is starting to play with us now and his personality is really coming out.

MIYA
Here is a picture of Miya in our household!
She is getting so big and loves her backyard and outdoor time.
She really loves snow too!
Thanks, Kayla |
FRIDA

My family absolutely loves her. Her ears are what first caught my eyes. She is a fantastic dog and loves going for her walks twice a day. She's getting used to our cold weather in Edmonton, AB and will gladly let me put on her coat before we go.
Frida is great around kids which is super because I have a lot of nieces and nephews that come over to visit. She loves all the attention we give her. She has her own bed but she would rather snuggle with us on the couch.
I'm so happy we got her. She is the part of the family and we love her. She is a perfect match.
Yours truly,
Nadine Williams

BLACKIE (was 'Cabo')
We adopted our sweet girl Cabo (Blackie) a few weeks ago but it feels like she has been part of our family forever. She is the sweetest, most gentle, loving dog that I have ever met and we feel blessed to have her in our family.
A BIG thanks goes to everyone at Pawsitive Match for helping us find her. We are truly grateful for all that you have done and continue to do for these sweet furry friends. You are truly special people. Thank you!
This picture was taken the day that Cabo came to live with us. Such a sweetie she is.
Big hugs and doggie kisses from Cabo and her family to all of you.
:-)
Here's one more picture of our sweetheart, Cabo.
This was at our oldest daughter's first day of school.
We walked over to pick her up at the end of the day.
Cabo was so happy to see all of the kids.

HAVEN
I thought I'd send you a couple of recent photos of Haven. He just loves the recent snow fall, he can't get enough of jumping through snow banks and digging through the snow with his nose. He also likes to crawl through the snow on his belly and roll around in it and he loves catching snowballs in his mouth. I guess for a Mexican-born dog he really took to Canada He has gotten big and healthy, coming up on his one-year birthday, but still looks as adorable as he did as a puppy.
Hope everything is going well with you and you foster dogs. Have a nice Holiday season!

ROSA

Rosa has really been an amazing addition to our home. She's been wonderful. She's a very well behaved dog and we are working on improving some behaviours day by day. She's amazingly sensitive to people's energies and extremely intelligent learning new things quite quickly. Although, at times she can be stubborn, we absolutely love her! We want to take Rosa everywhere we go so we've been gradually introducing her to all of our family and they absolutely adore her also and don't mind having her over when we come to visit. Everyone we meet say's she's such a beautiful, "cool looking" dog. Many have asked me if she's part Duck Toller and I think she is. Since we've been getting out to the dog park and meeting other dog owners, we have discovered just how many people have rescued a dog from any agency such as yours. Keep up the great work everyone at Pawsitive Match, you really do make a difference in these dogs lives as well as the people who love them!

KONA

Kona (Beauty) wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!! And to let you all know she is having lots of fun and is doing very well. She enjoyed all the extra attention and toys that came with Xmas, and of course the turkey was appreciated as well! She loves her new sister and loves to play in the snow and surprisingly doesn't mind the cold too much. She is a great little girl and very loving.
Kona has continued to gain weight, she is now about 47 lbs, quite a change from the 30 lbs (15 kilos) when she left Cabo mid-Nov. She hasn't gained anymore in the last week or so, so we are thinking she is close to her ideal weight. She looks really good now, she looks healthy and her coat feels better than it did. She seems to feel a lot better as well, and has more energy than when we got her. She is also getting more confident around other people and dogs.
We are sending along a few pictures of Kona and Kayla. She is certainly very content in her new home, and wanted to let you know she is very loved by her new family.

NACHO |
We adopted Patricio (or as we like to call him now, "Nacho") on November 6th. Nacho has settled in quite nicely in our home. He loves to play and bounce around outside- and when we say bounce we mean he really does bounce!
We were worried when we first got him about if he was ever going to get more energy because he slept the first 2 days he was in Calgary and was really scared of everything and everyone. But he's come out of his shell for sure. We're working on his house-training which is going really well.
Nacho has grown quite a bit since we've gotten him, he's almost 30 pounds now! |
 |
We're really happy that Nacho has come into our lives. He's full of energy and love,
we know we are as lucky as he is!
Sincerely, Jessica |

| DIESAL & CAPPONE |
 |
Hello!!!
The boys are doing very well.. Diesel (cappuchino) . As for Capone (Brad Pitt), We have had Capone a little over a month now, when we got him, he was thirteen pounds with very little manners, but now he is almost forty pounds and is learning so fast, what a smart boy!!! It sure didn't take us very long to fall in love with him. Here is a picture from when we first got him and one that we just took of the boys so you can see how happy everyone is. And just so you know, Diesel is a little camera shy so he gets scared when the camera comes out, but rest assured that he is a very happy and loved baby.
|

Thank you so much, I wish the best for you and yours this holiday season.

| ABBY |
| Abby was spotted as a puppy being walked in Fish Creek Park in early fall. I was on a bicycle ride and did a U-turn as soon as I saw her. I had been looking for a puppy to join the family and had my name on a long waiting list with a Staff breeder in Drumhellar. While speaking with the people walking her I learned about Pawsitive Match and Abby's adoptability. They told me that her foster person (Laura Nicholson) was very particular about who she would adopt her foster dogs out to. I knew we had a good chance so I rode home to Killarney at full speed and e-mailed a application form to her immediately. Laura responded and an appointment was set up for inspection of our home situation. Denise my wife. Kevin and Alexa our teenage and adult kids, were there for the interview as was our 8 year old poodle Ernie. It all seemed to go well and we were chosen by Laura for Abby's home. Since then she has become a full, welcome member of the household and has had many walks in the mountains and many city parks and back alleys. I needed a willing walking partner as I love to wander in all weather exploring the back alleys of Calgary. My wife and I enjoy the long park walks together on the week end with the dogs. Abby is a wonderful, calm, happy and very entertaining with her antics.
Thanks to Laura and Pawsitive Match for giving these abandoned and sometimes abused dogs, a chance to have a good home to enrich all of our lives. We admire the efforts of Pawsitive match to rescue dogs from many places including Abby's birth place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We thank the Cabo Humane society for their work in a place where there seems to be many dogs in need of families.
Regards,
Scott Brooke |

| PIP |
 |
We have changed her name to Pip (she’s a pipsqueak compared to our last dog buddy) and she’s doing great. She’s more confident everyday and is really showing herself to be part of our pack. She is coming on call and will sit on command. She sleeps in her kennel by choice but we have not had to close the door as she only ever had ONE accident! Occasionally she visits beds in the morning. She has made some dog buddies with a few of my friends and enjoys a good romp in the yard. We are working on playing fetch, a concept that she’s interested in but doesn’t quite get…. The kids love her |
| ROY |
Roy is a fantastic dog! We are so happy to have him. He is settling in great here. We couldn't have asked for a better dog. He is a gentle giant. He is great with our daughter (2 years) and great with our other dog. He is putting on weight and has already seen some snow! I have included some pictures of him. Can't see his ribs anymore, he sure loves his food! Take Care.

Thought I would let you know Finian's progress. He is doing really well and is a very happy little guy. It is so nice to see him come out more and more. I got him a little sweater to help him adjust to the
cooler weather, which he doesn't mind wearing at all. Heis so smart and has learnt a lot in the short time I've had him.
I am very happy with him, the whole family loves him! Thanks again,
